Updated 28 October 2026: the 2026 edition took place from 16 to 18 October. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet; we will update this article as soon as they are.

From 16 to 18 October 2026, Toquicimes returns to Megève for a new edition devoted to mountain cuisine.

For three days, chefs, producers, artisans and food lovers gather in the village for demonstrations, competitions, tastings, workshops and meet-and-greets. The event is free and open to all.

What is Toquicimes?

Founded in Megève in 2018, Toquicimes has become one of the village’s major gastronomic events.

The festival celebrates Alpine cuisine, local produce and mountain know-how, with the participation of chefs, local producers, artisans and young hospitality professionals.

For its 2026 edition, the theme turns towards a more natural mountain cuisine, with particular attention paid to produce, well-being and the resources of the region.

What to do during Toquicimes 2026?

The programme runs over all three days with several formats:

  • cookery demonstrations;
  • masterclasses;
  • gastronomic competitions;
  • producers’ market;
  • workshops on the food trades;
  • tastings;
  • family activities;
  • meet-and-greets and book signings with the chefs.

Among the new features announced for 2026 are the competition for the best fondue in the Alps, the family competition “Chacun son Mont-Blanc” and a talk devoted to mountain cuisine and well-being.

The producers’ market

Throughout Toquicimes, a gourmet market lets you discover producers, artisans and specialities from across the Alps.

It is one of the easiest ways to enjoy the festival without necessarily following a particular masterclass or competition.

During the festival, part of the village is also transformed into a pop-up dining area.

Megève’s restaurateurs and shopkeepers offer a variety of specialities to enjoy on the spot, in a more informal atmosphere.

Toquicimes with the family

The festival is not just for food lovers.

Several activities are designed for families and children, including workshops, competitions and play areas.

The “Chacun son Mont-Blanc” competition, for example, lets families take part around one of the mountains’ iconic pastries.

Where does Toquicimes take place in Megève?

The activities are spread across several areas of the village.

A large part of the programme takes place around the Palais de Megève, route du Palais des Sports, as well as in the various spaces set up especially for the festival.

When is Toquicimes 2026?

From Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2026 (past edition). The 2027 dates have not been announced yet.

The programme varies from day to day, so it is worth checking the times of demonstrations, competitions and activities before you come.

Making the most of Toquicimes to discover Megève

Toquicimes takes place in autumn, a quieter time than the busy winter weeks.
